Antique store brings India to Cambridge
The store, resembling a showroom more than an antique shop, specializes in one-of-a-kind, handcrafted furniture pieces and rugs. Bunjara buys the pieces directly from suppliers in India, bypassing the web of intermediate sellers. This allows them to obtain the highest quality pieces and sell them to customers for fair prices, the owners said.

Store brings furniture from remote villages to your home
The word "Bunjara" originally referred to a nomadic tribe in Rajasthan. Now it is also the name of a new furniture store that specializes in handmade antique and reproduction furniture, rugs and accessories from India, Nepal, Burma and Madagascar.

At Bunjara, a warm, new antique store, you’ll find a colorful teak cabinet from Kutch, India, imbedded with tiny rectangular mirrors meant to ward off the evil eye; a British Colonialstyle chest featuring a blackbone inlay; and Dhurrie rugs from Rajasthan. All imported. All uncommon.
